VAC Ice Hockey Skills Report

On the weekend 37 athletes from Mt Buller, Falls Creek & Hotam Race Clubs took part in a two day Ice Hockey Skills Camp.

The camp is run by the VAC – Victorian Alpine Committee who represent a collaboration of the Mt Buller, Falls Creek & Mt Hotham Race Clubs. The VAC also delivers physical training programs through terms 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Out of the 37 athletes that attended there were 36% from MBRC, 51% from Hotham Race Club and 13%

from Falls Creek Race Club.

17 athletes from the Falls Creek Race Club, Mt Buller Race Club and Mt Hotham Racing Squad took part in a 3 day surf & multi-sport camp in Anglesea from October 6-8.

Term 4 Conditioning Program

Our term 4 conditioning program represents the 1st phase of the joint conditioning project between ourselves, Falls Creek Race Club and the Mt Hotham Race Club. Operating under the umbrella of the Victorian Alpine Committee, testing and programming support will be available year round. The program is designed to be as accessible as possible (financially and logistically). Your options include:
·         Base program only
·         Base program + Sundays
·         Base programs + Sundays and midweek
·         Base program + midweek

AUS National Children´s Series Perisher

MBRC is proud to announce a very successful race weekend at Perisher! Katie Parker dominated the Child 2 Female category and took out 1st place in both Giant Slalom and both Slalom races. Compete at the KING of the MOUNTAIN event at Mt. Buller from August 12th till August 14th 2011.

Friday, 12th of August: Giant Slalom on Little Buller Spur (Top to Bottom)
Saturday, 13th of August: Parallel Giant Slalom on Summit
Sunday, 14th of August: Skicross/Boardercross on Skyline

This event is open to the entire wintersports community! Alpine & Snowboard disciplines for all 3 events, categories form Child 0/Grom 0 up to Junior age.
Compete in all 3 events for the KING of the MOUNTAIN title. Enter quickly, as spots are limited!
